Overview

Marine Systems, Inc. is hiring an Inventory Control Analyst in our Chesapeake, VA location. 23320

Responsibilities

  • Perform all inventory transactions within a timely fashion corresponding to the physical movement of material.
  • Ensure documentation is received and completed properly.
  • File and/or route all documentation so that backup for all transactions performed in Oracle can be readily found.
  • Perform non-inventory receipts related to operating overhead expenses.
  • Run, reconcile and complete weekly cycle counts for new parts inventory.
  • Maintain cores returned to vendors in Oracle.
  • Print, communicate and follow-up on internal requisitions and orders for other divisions.
  • Open, maintain and track work orders associated with purchase orders.
  • Compile back-order information in relation to work orders.
  • File, maintain and track vendor claims in coordination with purchasing agent.
  • Process transactions in relation to warranty claims.
  • Prepare work orders for closing.
  • Perform pick releases as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety

  • Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.
  • Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.

Qualifications

  • Preferred computer skills: Microsoft Products and Oracle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and multi-task oriented.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine components.
